New York City is chock-full of marvelous destinations a wonderful time to be had and the Upper East Side proved to hold this theory true. The Upper East Side is located in Manhattan and is known for its ritzy and glamorous nature.

The building that the condominium is situated in was once the luxurious Westbury Hotel. It was restored in 1999 to a pristine reflection of its 1927 self.

The apartment features structural architecture that is reminiscent of a time before the war. There are high ceilings, crown moldings and a wine cellar.

There is also more of a modern twist with the inclusion of a gym. "We love the gym that was full of new equipment," Audrey said.

To top it all off, there is an on hand concierge located within the building for help with suggestions for restaurants, transportation and housekeeping.

The location of the apartment allows for one to easily access museums, Central Park, various restaurants and, of course, shopping.

"Shopping Heaven right on Madison Ave.," Audrey said. The apartment is located near stores, such as Prada, Gucci and Cartier.

To match the classy nature of the apartment and its coinciding neighborhood was Stephanie, the woman with whom Audrey swapped with.

"Stephanie the owner gave us a list of suggestion of restaurants, local favorite grocery stores and [a] wonderful welcome bottle of wine!"

With this all being said, one may be hesitant to even consider stepping foot into this section of New York City, but that is the luxury of home swapping. Audrey was able to save "lots!"
