We've teamed up with Made.com to offer you discounts on a fantastic range of fixtures and furnishings to make your home swap really stand out. We asked two Love Home Swap architects to reveal their favourite designs...

Jen Taylor

Regular home swapper and trained architect Jen is based in London and is the founder and designer of Hokolo, a design-led interior and lifestyle brand that specialises in colours, patterns and prints.

Jen was no stranger to Made's collection, but her pick of the site is the Scott 3 Seater Sofa:

"I like the sofa in concrete cotton velvet finish. The velvet texture gives the sofa a soft warm touch, contrasting against the clean lines mid-century aesthetic of the sofa. It's a classic shape yet contemporary.

Going for a grey colour is more timeless and you can easily bring in colours and patterns using scattered cushions which will instantly update your interior. It's also very comfy as I have tested it out in the showroom recently!"

Headed our way and looking for a stunning home for your stay? Why not send Jen a note? With four swaps under her belt already and a gorgeous converted duplex, we think you'll be glad you did.

James Camm

As an architect, designer, James is something of a triple threat in the world of home renovation and design. He even built his stunning home in Castle Cary from scratch. Two pieces from Made caught his eye:

Steuart Padwick's desk probably appeals to my feminine side the most, I could see this piece acting as both a dresser and working unit in a bedroom and I felt the desk was extremely good value at marked £379 price.

My favourite piece was Julien's Bramante's extending table, perhaps this is because he has done what I've previously considered designing and no longer have to thanks to this piece. I may specify or use this in some of the larger open plan minimal interior dining / kitchens. There is a sense of gravity defiance / ingenuity by moving the supporting structural frame away from the visible edges. I'm thinking does it really not bend? This desk would also seem extremely good value at the current price tag of £499 especially when compared to what else is available at this price.

Castle Cary is only a 90 minutes from London, so you can enjoy the best of the city from the convenient distance of this quaint market town.

Renowned for the beauty of the local period architecture, James loves this historical town because of its rich mixture of independent shops, restaurants and dog-friendly pubs.
