“Great spot in downtown Memphis. Walking distance to Beale Street.”

“Non-simultaneous swap. October 2015. We were 'wowed' the moment we stepped through the door, this is an incredible ancient building. Penny and Paul's Barn is AMAZING! Huge, vast, magical! We were a family group of nine, three generations, wanting to find somewhere really special to celebrate our Mother's/Grandmother's 70th birthday weekend. It was very important for us to be able to create magical memories, and although Penny was extremely busy and had a lot on her plate during this time, Penny and Paul were incredibly generous with their time, even welcoming us with our four children to join in, with their friends and neighbours private halloween party! It's the little details that make memories special. The Haynes International Motor Museum is a fabulous day out for all the family, and approximately 15 minutes drive from the Barn. We concluded our family celebration with a delicious Sunday Roast at a nearby pub/restaurant. Penny and Paul had a lot going on during this time but they made sure our weekend was everything we hoped for. Many thanks again, we look forward returning your hospitality! “We loved our stay in this beautiful home by the sea. Both the house and gardens are large with comfortable areas to relax in and everything you could want. The beach is less than a 10 minute walk away and is a spectacular white sand beach which we loved walking along. The whole coastline in the surrounding area is stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed the Ring of Hook, Hook Lighthouse and Tintern Abbey. Wexford is a lovely town, with plenty of character, and we enjoyed some great food and live music there. The roads are quiet and easy to drive on and the lanes near the house are perfect for an evening stroll; it is a 40 minute walk along the pretty lanes to Blackwater. I would highly recommend this home for a relaxing, 'feel good' holiday.”
“This property is in the town of Avola which is situated between the World Heritage Syracuse and the beautiful towns of Noto, Modica, Ragusa & the delightful fishing village of Marzamemi (a great place for a seafood lunch looking over the sea). The famous Cava Grande is about 15 minutes drive and the famous Taormina is an easy day's excursion. We really enjoyed our stay in the house which was very typically Italian. Our welcome was outstanding as we were lucky enough to have the owners Franco and Lucrezia in house at the time. The rooms are big and spotless, old world, one couldn't say luxurious but spotlessly clean. The position was great, easy parking in the small piazza in front, with 3 minutes walk to the nearest bar and lots of restaurants, both typical and modern. The main piazza is very beautiful with many outside umbrellas and a great place to watch the world go by. The easy walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and quite easy. Everything is there with 2 banks (that I saw, there may be more) restaurants, bars, beautiful churches, great shopping and of course the wonderful sweet world of the pasticceria. If you do visit, don't miss out on having a brioche with a granita - a famous Sicilian breakfast. If you want to get away from the tourist crowds and see the real Sicily, I would recommend Esagonamonello. Thank you Erica, Lucrezia & Franco for a wonderful week. Marilyn, Barry & Kay ”
