About our home

Our home was built about eight years ago and is a large, modern townhouse, which is light, airy and comfortable. Being able to entertain easily, books, music, sunshine and warmth are important to us, so you will find these aspects in spades here. We take care to look after our home carefully and would do the same for yours. As you enter the foyer the lounge room is ahead, then three steps down to the dining room/family room. There is also a powder room and store room on this level. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need, and the laundry is off that with steps leading down to a small backyard with clothes-line and access to the very spacious double garage. From the lounge room are French doors which open out to a private front courtyard - perfect for lingering over a coffee and a good read, or for entertaining on a warm evening. The main bedroom upstairs is very large and has a queen size bed, built-in robes and ensuite bathroom; the second bedroom is smaller, but also with queen size bed and built-in wardrobes and the third bedroom has a singe bed (for grandchildren) and doubles as a study. Also upstairs is another reading/television area plus the large main bathroom.
Our suburb of Hawthorn is especially quiet, leafy and appealing, being close to the city and all possible amenities including heaps of beautiful parks. If you are into sport, you will find the location extremely convenient. Trains, trams (a Melbourne feature), motorway and bicycle path are all close by and provide easy access to the central city as well as the surrounding countryside. Just Google map Hawthorn and you get a better idea of how close we are to the river, parks and the city. Great shops and fantastic food of every nationality are also close by. You are welcome to use our cars, but you will also find the public transport useful at times.
