Shambhala means hidden paradise and as such this rainforest oasis right on the Beachfront is aptly named.

Hidden away along a private road in Byron Bay’s exclusive Belongil Beach enclave, this spectacular property affords total privacy when required, yet is only minutes walk along the beach to the heart of Byron Bay. Ocean to the East with the river to the West, it is truly natures playground.

Elevated within the rainforest canopy are three separate awe inspiring tree houses, each complete luxury assured, in total privacy from each other and the outside world, together with majestic views and the joys of nature abounding.

The romantic beach retreat is Samadhi meaning ‘bliss’. Shanti is a bigger home still with ocean views meaning ‘Peace’ and Sarita meaning ‘free flowing’ on the river side is the biggest of the three cottages.

Waking to the sweet orchestra of bird life you will be energised by ocean waves and inspired as you walk along the green emerald, pebbled lanes along your private access to the sand below where dolphins and humpback whales dive and play.

After a morning swim you may care to laze away on the hammock or perhaps snuggle up on one of the day beds to listen to the waterfalls and calm your senses or relax in your private outdoor jet stream Jacuzzi or sauna.

For dinner have a gourmet al fresco dining on either of the magnificent sun decks offering stunning uninterrupted views of Julian rocks and the world famous lighthouse. Perhaps you might prefer a moonlight Bali bath under a starry sky? Shambhala is the place of dreams and imagination, a fairy land at night with amazing water features and wonderful colours to open your heart and let your soul sing.

If its fitness or contemplation you crave, practice yoga or meditate in the Forest Yoga Studio in the center of the Gardens. Or if you prefer use the fully equipped Gym while still in contact with esoteric sounds of the ocean.

For those keen on brushing up their skills Bikram (Hot) or traditional yoga is just a short stroll up the road. For those who prefer to substitute coffee for yoga the cafes are even closer.

Shambhala is known as Byron’s retreat for the stars - however you don’t have to be famous to come escape and set your spirit free!
