About our home

Our home is located in a quiet leafy street in the lakeside suburb of Yarralumla in central Canberra. The local shops have 4 restuarants, 3 cafes and a supermarket. Walk up the lane to see Canberra's heritage sites like the Forestry School, Westridge House & the Old Canberra Brickworks. A leisurely stroll/ bike ride takes you through beautiful Westbourne Woods past the Royal Canberra Golf Club, Government House, the National Zoo & Aquarium and the Arboretum in the west. Go in an easterly direction past the Yacht Club & Albert Hall and see national treasures like the National Library, Questacon, National Portrait & Art Galleries, High Court, National Archives, Parliament House, Canberra Glassworks & Old Bus Depot Markets.

Our close proximity to Lake Burley Griffin enables you to walk, run or cycle to major attractions. Bikes & kayaks are available. We're also near the following facilities: Hot Air Balloon rides, Canberra Olympic, Manuka and Phillip Pools, tennis courts, Royal Canberra Golf Course and Canberra Yacht Club. The local bus service is ACTION's Gold Line that goes past major tourist attractions in the Parliamentary Triangle on route to the city & Dickson (also noted for its wide selection of eateries).

See wonderful parklands, kangaroos & abundant birdlife in and around this established suburb. Kayak across the lake to Black Mountain Peninsula, the Australian National University and National Museum of Australia.
