“Location was an ideal place for us with easy access to Adelaide, the wine areas of McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills, and the various legs of the Tour Down Under - our main reason for going to Adelaide area. The house was large, well equipped and private with a great covered deck area with good rural views that made it great for late afternoon relaxing with a wine or 2!! Our only disappointment was that because of drought there was not enough water to fill the pool. Jessica did warn us of this and as it turns out the weather was not that hot so we did not miss the pool anyway!! Overal it was a great experience for us and I would recommend the place for those looking for a quiet and relaxing location but near to all the action”

Welcome to our home in Clarendon, at the junction of the McLaren Vale & Adelaide Hills wine regions and just 30 mins from the Adelaide CBD.
Luxuriate in the solar heated pool and spa overlooking the valley and vineyard views. Enjoy relaxing outdoor meals in the fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Soak up some sun and watch the bird life from the timber deck.
Our property is on 9 acres just 7 mins from the township of Clarendon. We are set on a hill overlooking the Onkaparinga Valley and the local vineyards. From our deck you will often see kangaroos, koalas, and native birds on the property. We are on a quiet no through road with a few friendly neighbours. Very peaceful.
We bought our home 4 years ago and have altered and extended it to create a haven for our family and a great place to entertain. We often host friends and family overnight or for weekends and have tried to create a resort style environment for all to enjoy.
The modern home is 5 years old and has reverse cycle ducted heating and cooling throughout.
Outside a pool and spa sit next to the outdoor entertaining area. The 10m fully tiled pool spills over the infinity edge to highlight the views of the valley below. The swimout ledge in the pool is great for toddlers to play in. The pool and spa are both solar and gas heated and two market umbrellas can be positioned so that you can swim in sun or shade.
The outdoor room links the indoors and the pool area. A large shaded area includes dining for eight plus a comfortable outdoor lounge suite. An outdoor kitchen is equipped with BBQ, wok burner, rotisserie, separate hot plate, beverage fridge and sink. The kitchen is stocked with crockery, cutlery, everything you need for a casual meal. The outdoor and pool areas are beautifully lit at night and the Sonos music system enhances the relaxing atmosphere here and throughout the house.
The deck adjacent the pool and spa is a great spot for lounging on the outdoor bean bags and soaking up some sun or watching the wildlife.
Relax with a family movie in the media room. Our purpose built home theatre has a 130' screen, 3D projector, HD BluRay DVD, HD Foxtel IQ, Playstation and amazing 5.1 surround sound. A great way to keep the kids entertained in the evenings with a good supply of kid's movies. Or put the kids in bed and enjoy a grown up movie and a glass of red! The large and cushy sofa can be converted to a double bed if required.
There is a generously sized open plan kitchen - dining - family room.
The dining table seats 8. A combustion wood heater provides additional warmth and ambience in the winter months.
Near the kitchen a nook we call our "creating corner" stocked with pencils, crayons, craft supplies. It's a great spot for the kids to keep themselves busy while dinner is being prepared.
The lounge room has comfortable leather seating for 6 and a 55' HD LED TV. Large picture windows offer views across the property.
The kitchen is large with plenty of bench space for preparation. There is a large twin door fridge/freezer, large oven, microwave, dishwasher. We are keen on cooking ( and eating!) so you will find the kitchen well equipped. You can watch the kids in the pool from the kitchen window.
The master suite includes bedroom, walk in robe and large bathroom. The bed is King sized and pillow topped. There is a 55' HD LED TV, DVD Player and HD Foxtel IQ. A walk in robe leads to an ensuite bathroom with large spa, toilet, shower and two sinks.
Bedrooms 2 & 3 each have a single bed, built in robes and bedside table. A family bathroom with bath, shower, sink and separate toilet adjoins this area.
We call our second living area the "Toy Room". We have a variety of toys to suit babies to pre-schoolers including tricycles, lego, puzzles and books. Located off the children's bedrooms, this area has a sofa bed that sleeps two if you need additional beds. 50" LED TV with a Sony Playstation and a wii.
We use two of our bedrooms as home offices. There is a computer with fast broadband access available for your use and wifi throughout. We have full mobile phone coverage in this area.
A laundry provides a washer, dryer and ironing facilities.
Our 9 acre property is also home to our 4 cows, Annie, Cupcake, Peanut Butter and March. The girls love to be fed apples or carrots for a treat. We have 6 chooks that deliver fresh eggs daily. Also a recently planted organic orchard and vegetable patch. You are welcome to help yourself to our fresh veggies in season.
A self contained studio including bathroom and kitchenette offers additional accommodation. Currently set up to sleep 2. This makes it a great place to meet up with extended family for a combined holiday. Invite the in-laws to stay!
Our home is situated just out of the historic township of Clarendon, just south of the Adelaide. Get to know the locals at the cosy local pub, or drop in to the bakery for a quick snack. There's also a charming general store for last minute supplies. One of the last real "service stations" where you can have the postmaster fill your petrol tank personally!
And yet despite Clarendon's country charm we are just 30 minutes from the CBD and have the convenience of our state's largest shopping mall just 15 minutes from home.
Clarendon is at the junction of the renowned McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wine regions. An easy drive to Adelaide CBD and the airport, or to the beaches, from vibrant Glenelg Beach with restaurants and cafes to wild and rugged Sellicks Beach.
Things to do:
Eat in! Drive 10 mins from our door to the renowned Willunga Farmers Market on a Saturday morning to pick up fresh cheeses, vegies, fruit and veg direct from the producers. Have an excellent coffee at Fino cafe while you are there. Bring it home and cook up a masterpiece in our well equipped kitchen.
Eat out! Enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant with a glass (or two) of the local liquid assets. In the Adelaide Hills wine area, try eating alfresco at The Lane, Hahndorf for a lazy Sunday Lunch overlooking the vineyard.
Discover our beautiful, quiet and unspoilt beaches. Nearby Aldinga beach is one of the few beaches that you can drive on the sand. Clarendon is the gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula where you will find loads of great fishing, snorkelling, diving and surfing spots.
Get into the city in 30 mins to experience Adelaide's fabulous and affordable restaurant scene. First stop if you are into Asian food would be the vibrant Gouger St. Walk along North Terrace for museums and art galleries, or treat the kids to the world class Adelaide Zoo.
Closer to home, take an early morning walk along the Onkaparinga Valley. Experience local wildlife and unspoiled bushland.
Spend a day wine tasting with 65 cellar doors open, all within a short drive of our place in the McLaren Vale. McLaren Vale cellar doors are friendly, tastings are almost always free and there are often great eating opportunities as well.
Watch the Classic Adelaide Car Rally in spring, the Tour Down Under in Summer, help with the grape harvest in the Autumn and enjoy the Sea and Vines Festival in the winter.

We have kids, so of course our house is kid-friendly! We have a cot, a portacot and 2 strollers available for use if you need them.
We have a cleaner once a fortnight to look after bathrooms, carpets and floors.
We can organise a pet motel for our cats and have someone drop in to check on the cows and chickens if you are not keen on pet care.
We have a 5 seat Nissan Juke that may be negotiated for exchange. We have a variety of child car seats/restraints for your use.
