About our home

Our home is only about 500 m from the ocean. Because it was specifically built to make the most of its 180 degree view over the ocean we have rooms on three different levels with the kitchen, TV lounge and living room on the top floor. It is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, no street noise at all - in fact you can hear the ocean at night. The back of the property overlooks a bushland park that can be viewed from two separate decks. To some people this view even rivals the beautiful ocean view in the front.

Within a few minutes' walk you are down by the ocean where you'll find miles and miles of unspoilt beach. Alternatively you can go for a hike up Mt.Coolum which provides breath-taking views across the entire coastline of the "Sunshine Coast". The bushland park with its board walk is only minutes away - it is home to lots of Australian native animals including kangaroos and hundreds of different bird varieties.
There are several restaurants available within Coolum and lots more in nearby Noosa.
If you are into sports of any kind the area has lots to offer. Surfing, kayaking, tennis, name it. In fact, the championship golf course at the Hyatt Coolum - home of the Australian PGA - is only minutes away. But there are many more golf courses in the area.

We've lived in the area for 8 years now and the reason we are here is that we fell in love with this house. My husband was born in the US and I am from Germany originally. We are both retired and spend our time going to the gym regularly, playing golf, reading, going out to dinner with our friends. My husband also enjoys wood-working and has built himself a nice workshop in the backyard.
