About our home

The House

Our home is 17 years old and was recently renovated. It is a Queenslander style home with a contemporary edge. It is set on 1 acre amongst a beautiful well-established rainforest style setting. There are large lawn areas for the kids to play or to just relax and watch the cockatoos and possums. We have a beautiful salt water pool and large entertaining gazebo with a built in BBQ. We also have 2 chickens which are really friendly and you can collect the eggs from daily!

Currently we utilise 3 rooms for sleeping and the other 2 rooms are a study and an art studio, but we can make all 5 rooms sleeping areas if necessary which means the house could ultimately cater for 10 people.

The house has ducted air-conditioning and heating which fliters through to each room of the house.

Our home has a very realxed, tranquil vibe. Here you get the best of both worlds: we are only a 10 minute drive from Noosa Main Beach and Hastings Street (shopping and restaurant district) and the world famous Noosa National park, as well as being very close to the beaches which make up the pristine Sunshine Coast. Or you can head inland and enjoy the peaceful villages, markets and attractions of the hinterland. Spend a day at the beach then come home to your very own rainforest retreat!

Noosa

Noosa itself is a very special place to us. We both grew up here, have moved away, then decided to come back to raise our little one. After all, it is one of the most natural, beautiful places in the world, and we have been lucky enough to see much of the world! Noosa offers beautiful beaches, the Noosa River for boating and fishing, plenty of nature, access to Fraser Island and beyond plus it is home to many award-winning restaurants, bars and cafes.

We are very much locals and can guide you to the best spots, local and afar, in order for you to make the very most of your stay!

Airports

The Sunshine Coast airport is only 30 minutes from our home. It is a domestic airport from where you can access most Australian cities. Sydney is only a 1.5 hour flight away! A flight to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast is on average costs AU79.00. This airport also does an International flight Auckland, New Zealand if you feel like popping over to our friends across the isle for a weekend!

Brisbane International and Domestic Airport is and 1.5 hour drive.

Vehicle Availability

Our Ford Territory can be included as a vehicle for your stay.

The Noosa North Shore- Teewah Beach Shack

We can also offer you our families private beach shack, located just 30 minutes from our home accessible only by 4 wheel drive along the Noosa North Shore beach in a tiny fishing village called Teewah. We have a Pajero 4WD we can offer you to access our little hide-away! The 'shack' is actually a cool renovated fibro cottage situated just meters back from the beach. Here you can go surfing, fishing, take bush walks and just emerse yourself in nature.
