“This was an amazing experience.Justine has a beautiful home in a great location with amazing views. The view directly below onto the beach was just like a painting. Right next to a cute cafe and close to an interesting shopping centre with a great bakery. We had a memorable experience at Freshwater Bay and we thank Justine for her thoughtfulness and for the opportunity to get to know the area”

About our home
Our second home, a duplex in Sydney's Queenscliff (a neighbouring suburb to vibrant Manly) was built in the 80's and stylishly renovated in 2013. The spacious home has great furniture and Australian artwork and a design that takes full advantage of the incredible location overlooking Freshwater beach where surfing was first introduced to Australia. It has three bedrooms -the master has a Queen bed and an en suite, 2nd bedroom with queen bed and 3rd bedroom with a double wall bed with inner spring mattress. There is a further fold out sofa bed available in the study area of the 3rd bedroom and 3 chic bathrooms in total. It has 2 fashionably furnished living areas both with glorious views and a dedicated media room (cable tv is available). The kitchen is beautifully fitted out and the dining table easily accommodates 8 people. Laundry facilities are also provided. Along with the splendid views from inside the home and from the balcony and terrace, this house is all about the location. Its an easy stroll to the beach and all the restaurants and amenities of Freshwater in one direction or the beaches of Queenscliff and Manly and their restaurants and bars at 10 minutes in the other direction. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty and amenities of Sydney's northern beaches, hang at the beach, chill on the terrace. Or when you feel more energetic stroll to the ferry at Manly and ride to the lively city and along the way admire one of the great harbours of the world with the Opera House & Harbour Bridge being the icing on the cake. Come and enjoy.
Beautiful "Freshie" as the locals call Freshwater beach also has a seawater swimming pool, life guards on duty and a surfing only section of the beach. Whilst it is known as a family friendly beach it also has surf and it was on this beach that Hawaiin Duke Kahanamoku introduced surfing to Australia. Neighbouring Queenscliff beach and Manly are also popular swimming and surfing spots. Manly also has nightlife and clubbing. The northern beaches of Sydney are laid back kind of places with the conveniences of supermarkets and grocery stores and bakeries yet the local cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars add a cosmopolitan overlay to the relaxed vibe. Beautiful coastal walks are enjoyed by joggers and strollers alike.

“The house has a dramatic view over Freshwater beach. It tempts you to wake early and watch the sun rise from the sea, while the beach is a hive of colourful exercise activities. Everything inside is architect designed and ultra modern with windows from floor to ceiling letting that view dominate the main rooms. There's always a breeze and although there's aircon, it is rarely needed. The beauty of Freshwater is that although it is northern beaches at its best, with beautiful boardwalk connections to Curl Curl and Manly, it is still within reach of the city - just a short drive to the Manly ferry. Fabulous modern kitchen and large screens for media enthusiasts. I highly recommend this extraordinary house.”
“Stunning house and views. Lovely host. Evrything was perfect.”
“We would highly recommend this home for a house swap. It was wonderful meeting Francine who was there when we arrived to greet us and give us the keys, a tour of the house and answer all of our questions. There were even some groceries to get us started with a simple use and replace system. The daily walk past Manly Beach and down the Corso to the Sydney Harbour ferry is fantastic and provides easy access to Sydney's Central Business District. We also enjoyed the short walk into the Freshwater bay village with coffee shops, groceries, restaurants and anything else you could want locally. The linen and furnishings were all luxurious and comfortable and could all be enjoyed while appreciating the fantastic ocean view and sunrises over Freshwater Bay. Thank you for the wonderful finish to our Australian trip Francine.”
“A stunning and luxuriously appointed home with captivating ocean views. Within walking distance of Manly Beach and the ferry to the city. Completely captured Sydney's beach lifestyle - if you like to surf, go to the beach, swim in the iconic rock pools, or walk look no further. Many thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home, Francine, and thank you for your hospitable welcome, Adelaide. ”
