“The house is lovely and comfy to live in. The hosts are easy in evertthing, especially to communicate at any time via email. We have even become friends! The town is a typical farmers one, with nice people to speak to. The best thing of Gympie, if you have a car, is that it is next to gorgeous national parks you can walk in a day (Kondalilla, Montville, Mapleton, Kenilwoth..). so as to the gorgeous beaches: Tin Can Bay, Rainbow, Coolum, Mooloolaba... The location of Gympie is unique.”

About our home
We have a beautiful old-style "Queenslander" home that has been completely renovated. The spacious kitchen overlooks a valley. There is an indoor and outdoor dining area. The house is surrounded by lush gardens that add to the privacy. From the veranda, you can watch the cockatoos, galahs, rainbow lorikeets, etc in the garden.
Gympie has many relics of it past on display. The town has retained its 19th century architectural character. We are surrounded by beautiful rolling green hills and forests. The National Country Music Muster is held annually in August (in nearby Amamoor Forest). People come from all over Australia to attend the 4 day festival. Gympie is close to Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island, which is a World Heritage site. Not far from here: The Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Brisbane, The Gold Coast.
We are interested in a swap in Scandinavia or Scotland around July-August 2017.
