About our home

Our glorious home sits on a hill in the Yarra Valley wine region, one hour from Melbourne. The house overlooks the bustling town of Healesville with views from every room to the mountain ranges. It is set in one acre of gardens mixing beautiful exotic plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas and roses; as well as many native plants that attract the bright parrots, possums and occasional kangaroos. There are two double bedrooms, both with ensuites. An open plan kitchen, dining and living area opens out to an external terrace area with BBQ. There is a study with wifi internet. The house is all on one level and can be entered from the double carport.

Buzzy restaurants
There are many award winning wineries in the Yarra Valley with excellent restaurants.
Cool bars
The nearby town of Healesville (3kms) has many hotels and bars incluing several that have excellent live music on a regular basis.
Cozy cafés
Too many cafes to mentions. Rest assured you will be spoilt for choice.
Bit of culture
TarraWarra Museum of Art is a stunning art gallery that hosts the annual Archibald portrait prize exhibition amongst others. There are lots of local artists studios to visit as well as art and craft markets, organic farmers market and trash and treasure type markets.
Spot of exercise
Bushwalking, rail trails, national parks, nearby snowfields, mountain climbs and the Dandenong Ranges. 18 hole golf course at the nearby RACV club.
Day tripping
Healesville Sanctuary Zoo is internationally renowned. The town of Healesville has many funky shops and antique stores, several local markets, including art and craft and weekly organic farmers market. Daily bus departures to and from Melbourne (80 minutes) with the terminal adjacent to the airport skybus.
