About our home
Our two bedroom home is recently renovated and offers a very comfortable home away from home. With a large open plan living space which receives lots of natural light and has impressive views of Mount Wellington, a well equipped kitchen, covered entertaining area with a barbecue and outdoor hot tub, it is the perfect location to base your travels in Tasmania.
There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a double in the second bedroom. The kitchen is only one year old and has high end European appliances. We are on a hill, and there is a steep drive way for off street parking, and a flight of stairs (or a side path) to gain access to the house.
Double doors provide easy access from the kitchen to the back yard.
We have designed our interior for relaxed and comfortable living, with leather sofas, polished floor boards, lovely dining room, large plasma TV and art works by local and interstate artists. Double doors provide easy access from the kitchen to the back yard.
Supermarkets, petrol stations, chemist and bottle shops all within easy walking distance.
Hobart is Austalia's second oldest city and southern most capital city, and recently was voted one of the 10 best cities in the world to visit by Lonely Planet. Our location on the cusp of the city, is a 10 minute walk to CBD, or 15 minute walk to the waterfront. A plethora of restaurants are within 5-10 minuets walk away, with North Hobart offering a range of funky eating options, or the Hobart waterfront where there is a range of relaxed And fine dining options.
Whatever your interests, be it bush walking, kayaking, the arts scene, surfing, Architecture, fishing, diving, food & wine we have it all on offer.
A must when visiting Hobart is MONA, Salamanca market, a drive up the mountain, a walk around our historic water front and a visit to our local galleries. Within an hours drive are some fabulous wineries offering a great selection of our cool climate wines.
Hobart makes a great base for some day trips, to Port Arthur, the east coast, Huon & Channel regions, our national parks and local beaches.
To get around conveniently a car is recommended (we are willing to swap cars), and if you wish to venture further afield there are great accommodation options available.
