About our home
Situated on the banks of the Cooks River in Sydney's vibrant Inner West our near new home offers open plan living, ideally suited to Sydney's wonderful climate. Despite being so close to the city, our home is located in a peaceful parkland environment.
Modern, spacious and easy to maintain, the house has a rear garden and deck with views over the adjacent parkland and river. This area provides an outdoor dining and barbeque space that can be enjoyed all year round.
The large well appointed kitchen, with stainless steel European appliances, integrates the casual dining and family rooms. Bi-fold doors fold back to open on to the sunny alfresco area.
With views over the river, the home theatre room contains a 52 in. LCD TV with separate sound system. A second LCD TV is located in the formal lounge and dining area, allowing parents and children to enjoy separate entertainments.
The main bedroom suite has a queen bed, walk in wardrobes and an ensuite with twin basins and mirrors. Another double bedroom, a children's bedroom with twin beds and an artist's studio are located in a separate wing, which also includes the main bathroom, W.C., and laundry room.
The study has high speed internet access.
Our Mazda 6 can be made available for our guests.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The Inner Western suburbs of Sydney are renowned for their cultural, artistic and sporting opportunities. Hurlstone Park is only minutes away from the gastronomic and shopping pleasures of Leichhhardt, Newtown and Summer Hill. Nearby Dulwich Hill has been favourably featured in a review by the New York Times.
The walking and cycling trails outside our garden gate lead East to the beaches of Botany Bay and West to the Sydney Olympic Village site. Even the city centre can be accessed via the cycleway. The Municipal Golf course is a short 15 minute walk.
We are a few minutes walk to the Railway station where a 20 minute train trip will deliver you to the city centre and all the pleasures of our great city.
Nearby galleries, pubs and restaurants are readily accessible and cater for every taste and budget.
