About our home

Our home is all about generous living spaces filled with light. It has a calm relaxed atmosphere and because most of the walls are glass you feel very much connected to nature and the outside but also protected and comfortable. Double glazed 3.5 metre high windows make up the external walls on the north and eastern sides and all internal walls finish at 2.1 metres high with internal glazing above so that even on a dull day the whole house is bathed in light. Bathrooms have the same amount of glazing but privacy is provided by walled court yards. We have our own dedicated gallery space to display our work and that of other artists. From the open plan living area, walls of glass can be opened up to the outdoors and a large deck (48sqr metres) The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, walk in wardrobe and ensuite with double shower and private courtyard garden. The second bedroom is large with a double bed and a partitioned private sitting room with TV. An extra hotel grade inflatable single bed is available. The second bathroom has a shower and spa bath, its own courtyard with pond. The Kitchen has everything that a serious cook would dream of including a stainless steel island preparation bench 3.5 metres long. The dining table is similarly proportioned. The lounge/sittingroom is behind a screen at one end of the open plan area and is wired for surround sound music and TV. The house sits in open grounds landscaped with large boulders, gravel and textural plants. Views are of wooded hills and Mt Wellington. There is plenty of native wildlife including Kangaroos, Possums and many Bird species.
