About our home

This is a, 2 storey, 4 bedroom house with two bathrooms and a study. Three of the bedrooms have double beds, (2 with queen size beds). The fourth bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a large deck surrounded by trees. The house has superb views of picturesque Lindisfarne Bay, majestic Mt. Wellington, the beautiful Derwent River, the city and the Tasman Bridge. We live on a hill but with flat entry access. We are 10 minutes by car to the city centre and close to local shopping centres with supermarkets, medical practices and all amenities. The kitchen has recently been refurbished and the deck has a BBQ and outdoor heating. The kitchen, living and dining areas are open plan. At the other end of the house there is a study with stunning outlook of the city. Dishwasher, two fridges, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric heating, computer and internet access and ample storage facilities. There are also two pianos, electric and acoustic, and a guitar.

Quiet, leafy, suburban neighbourhood with easy access by car to all facilities. Beautiful walks around sunny foreshore and close to tennis courts, cricket and football grounds, swimming pool, gym, golf course and yacht clubs. Ten minutes to Tasmanian Cricket Association headquarters. 5 - 10 minute walk to bus stop. We are 10 minutes by car to beautiful, sandy beaches with views across to the city.

We have been married for 38 years and are both former teachers. Geoff is a retired assistant principal at a college for Years 11 and 12. His specialty was English and Social Studies. He is a former state hockey and cricket player and is a well-known commentator on radio and TV on hockey. In recent years he has been pursuing his interest in the guitar. Robyn is currently working part time as an EAL teacher for adult migrants. She recently retired from an all boys’ school, having been a French teacher as well as an early childhood and primary school teacher. She speaks French, Italian and some German, plays the piano and enjoys keeping fit through swimming.
We enjoy music, in particular jazz, outdoor pursuits like kayaking and bushwalking, walking along our beautiful beaches, keeping fit, and sport. We have a particular interest in hockey. We have two adult children, a son and a daughter.
