About our home

Come see why Lonely Planet listed Hobart as one of one of 2015s must-see destinations. Our modern family home was completed in 2007. Designed by an interior decorator, it has 3 large bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 king bed), 2 large bathrooms (one with spa) and 2 living spaces. Polished concrete floors are offset by thick charcoal carpet in the living areas and bedrooms. The kitchen has 2 Bosch ovens for the keen chef, an induction cooktop, microwave and fridge/freezer with ice dispenser. A wood fire, reverse cycle air conditioner and panel heaters ensure you are never cold. Our house is built into rock on a step hill which has created a natural rock feature out the back of the house complete with natural ponds. The other side of the house has magical views of Mt Wellington, across to central Hobart and down the Derwent river to Bruny Island. We often wake up to small kangaroos in our courtyard yet we are only 15 mins from the CBD and Salamanca place where many great restaurants and bars are located. The nearest beach (Bellerive Beach) is 5 mins away, while the nearest surf beach Clifton Beach is 20 mins away. The amazing MONA is 20 mins away which is a definite must visit for the art, architecture, restaurants/bars and weekly entertainment. A shopping complex with several supermarkets and other retail stores is 2 mins drive if you run out of anything. We have cable TV, Netflix and Apple TV plus superfast NBN internet. Our house is available for 3 months from July - October 2017. We are ideally looking for a place for swap or points in Mexico and San Francisco for 2017 but are open to other suggestions!
