About our home

Our house is a renovated three bedroom Edwardian in a vibrant inner city neighbourhood just 8 kilometres north of the centre of Melbourne and accessible by a tram at the end of the street and a train station only 500 metres away. Our neighbourhood is safe and peaceful but within walking distance to many great cafes, restaurants and bars.

The start of the world famous Great Ocean Road is only 1 hour away, as are the spectacular Dandenong Ranges to the east and the beautiful Mornington Peninsula wine region to the south. If you want to ski in Winter there are three ski resorts accessible as day trips.

The house has two living areas, a study, 2.5 bathrooms and three large double bedrooms. There are hardwood floors throughout and we have just installed a new kitchen. We have a small yard with an outdoor heated swim spa. We have wifi, broadband and cable TV.
Thornbury and its neighbouring suburb Northcote is a vibrant inner city area which is a haven for artists, designers and musicians and also contains some of the best restaurants, bars and cafes Melbourne has to offer. !

Despite being so close to everything, our street is very quiet, safe and leafy. We have many cafes and restaurants within walking distance and it is a great neighbourd to stroll.

Melbourne has a great series of inter-linking bike tracks and we have two adult and one child bike you are welcome to borrow and you can ride for miles.
