About our home

Bought as a 1888 traditional Victorian Villa, our home of 25 years was brought into the 20th century via stunning design by resident Architect. Situated in the cosmopolitan suburb of Hawthorn, the streets boast leafy trees with quaint houses yet contain a noticeable inner city bustling feel. A short walk will take you to Glenferrie Road, the heart of Hawthorn. Commonly known as simply 'Glenferrie', the street contains numerous boutique clothing stores, small delicatessens, renowned restaurants and a plethora of public transport. In addition, Glenferrie is most famous for its extensive café lifestyle with superb coffee and delicious food, with weekend brunch is a must for locals and visitors alike. Our home is a five minute walk to the Route 16 Tram line and a ten minute walk to Glenferrie Railway Station. Once on public transport, Melbourne CBD is only four train stops away and twenty minutes via tram making viewing Melbourne simple and easy. Locally, one can find amenities to suit all lifestyles including gyms, swimming pools, large ovals (the original Hawthorn Football Club (AFL) is located 2 minutes from Glenferrie Road), and leafy parks for leisurely strolls. Our home is located about 2 kms from the tranquil Yarra River, filled with local wildlife, vegetation and a myriad of bicycle paths.
