About our home

Big, solid limestone house; not suitable for young children though.
Wide verandas all round and so very well insulated; the temperature can get up into the 40’s (C) in SUMMER, especially January/ February.
Entry Hall/Art Gallery leads to totally renovated KITCHEN (19 x 11 ft) with dishwasher; micro-wave, char-grill etc.
Servery to formal lounge / dining-room (12 x 33 ft = 4 x 11metres).
TV ROOM with slow combustion wood fire and French doors leading to landscaped garden. Huge under-cover outdoor living area with Barbecues, bar fridge, water feature, sculptures; outside toilet.
Main bathroom (claw-foot bath), shower and separate toilet.
Laundry/utility room.
3 double bedrooms. Master has an air-conditioner and an en suite shower room/separate toilet.
The central hall (28 ft = 9 metres) long, has timber fretwork.
Lead-light windows & polished floorboards throughout.
Office/ computer room.
Rainwater tank supplies house. Fruit trees & under-cover parking.

  1. Experienced exchangers - we had NINE house exchanges (in one long 6-month holiday) in 2005; then SEVEN swaps (over one 4-month holiday) in 2009.
  2. Heather is a Civil Marriage Celebrant and recently published a local history book
  3. Ashley has a degree in Fine Arts (Sculpture); is retired.
