About our home

Sitting in its park-like garden, the house is 3 kms from Maleny township. It enjoys an expansive rural view over a valley (we often see kangaroos or wallabies), with the glint of the ocean beyond. Indeed the beach holiday destination of Caloundra is only half an hour away. The trio of hilltop towns Maleny, Montville and Mapleton are well known as special destinations.

A spacious light-filled home in a quiet peaceful location. There are two bedrooms, the main with king size bed looks out over the valley, and the other with queen bed overlooks the garden. In the large living room there are 3 sofas and a glass-front slow combustion fireplace. The dining table seats 8 people. Lovely views everywhere, even from the shower. Both bathrooms (one has a large bath, the other a double shower) are bright and freshly renovated, as is the huge well-equipped kitchen.

This is a house for relaxing, with a 9 metre solar-heated saltwater swimming pool just outside the living room. We are a 5 minute easy scenic drive to main street of Maleny - free parking, 2 supermarkets, 2 butchers, 2 bakers, organic food shop, and many many speciality shops and cafes. The ice-cream shop wins awards for quality products made from local cows milk.

During an exchange the lawn will be mown and the pool maintained for you, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. This corner of Queensland is a tourist destination, with lots of beach and day trip options within easy reach, and yet at home you can sleep peacefully and splash in the pool with birdsong as background noise.

We hope you will enjoy living in our home as much as we do.
