About our home

Our house is an elegant renovated Edwardian home with charm and design flair. It is less than1 km north of Perth’s CBD, close to the Northbridge cultural precinct & nightlife, and is in easy walking distance to trendy Highgate, Leederville & Mt Lawley shops, cafes & restaurants.

Why our house? Location, Location, Location! - We live in an ideal cosmopolitan neighbourhood which is the perfect base to explore all that the city and State has to offer. We have buzzy restaurants: e.g. Jackson’s, Cantina 663, Beaufort Street Merchant, Phi Yen, La P’tite Ardois, Nahm Thai. We have cool bars: e.g. Must , Clarences, Brisbane, Queens, Hyde Park. We have cosy cafes: e.g. West End Deli, Tarts, Lincolns, MilkD, Il Circolo. There is also lots of culture: Perth Concert Hall, the State Theatre, His Majesty’s Theatre (opera and ballet), Ellingtons Jazz Club, arthouse cinemas and many art galleries. All of this is within walking distance or less than 5 minutes by car.

Do you crave some retail therapy? Try the Beaufort Street shops. Or, perhaps you would rather a walk in the park? Hyde Park is opposite the house and it is a short cycle to Lake Monger or Kings Park. Maybe a spot of exercise? Beatty Park pool, the Loftus Fitness centre and 100s of kilometres of cycle paths are almost at your doorstep. And a thirty minute drive will see you in the historic port of Fremantle or the Swan Valley vineyards.

Our gorgeous, sun filled Edwardian home is situated in a vibrant multicultural area, directly opposite Hyde Park, one of Perth’s most beautiful parks. You will enjoy a spacious, sunny and elegant, freestanding, renovated home. The front of the house has lovely traditional features, including stained glass windows, fireplaces and French doors, while the rear extension features a modern, barrel vaulted living/dining area and gourmet kitchen overlooking a limestone walled courtyard. The house has beautiful jarrah floorboards and tasteful furniture throughout.

There are two large bedrooms and a double study, two living areas, two bathrooms, laundry and a large well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and stainless steel benches. The front veranda faces north and overlooks the Park, while the back courtyard is an attractive entertaining area, including a pizza oven, barbecue, water feature and attractive outdoor furniture.

We are great lovers of art, music & design and the house is a reflection of our interests. The house is fully equipped with all amenities. These include a sound system throughout, two TV/VCR/DVD’s, reverse cycle air-conditioning as well as gas heating, a wood fired Jottel wood stove, ceiling fans, networked high-speed internet, a fax/scanner/printer, expresso coffee machine, bicycle, automatic watering-system, washing machine and monitored security system.

Perth is a vibrant, modern city with a population of 1.7 million. It is situated on the west coast of Australia in the largest state- Western Australia. Perth has a Mediterranean climate with a relaxed outdoor lifestyle.
Our home is easy walking distance to the city centre, it is 15 minutes drive to sandy Indian Ocean surf beaches and a short cycle ride to the beautiful Swan River, along whose banks the city is built. It is also just a 20 minute drive to the vineyards of the Swan Valley and a 3 hour drive to the magnificent Margaret River wine & tourism area.
