About our home

Our 1920's Californian Bungalow has been lovingly modernised, and now boast a beautiful upstairs sitting room with stunning views to the Dandenong mountains. There are 3 double bedrooms and 4th with a single bed, two living areas, a central kitchen with large farmhouse table, and a large, shady courtyard garden. We have broadband internet, air-con, central heating, and a lovely verandah that gets the morning sun.

We are close to the city for Melbourne's famous restaurants, theatre and shows, shopping and live music. It's easy to get around, with trams, trains and buses, and lots of bike paths, for those that prefer to leave the car at home.

We are also close to La Trobe University and to The University of Melbourne for those that are doing a sabbatical.

Buzzy restaurants
Nearby Northcote and Fairfield have excellent options, but the city - famous for its world-class restaurants - is only 20 mins away by car.
Cool bars
Spoilt for choice - The Northcote Social Club has fabulous live music
Cozy cafés
Too many to mention - Melburnians take their coffee very seriously!
Retail therapy
Northland Shopping Centre is only 5 mins away, but I prefer High Street Northcote for its quirky, individualistic shops. For serious shopping, you can't beat the city centre.
Bit of culture
Whether theatre or live music is your thing, or a free concert in the park, or a cruise on the river - there is always something happening
Walks in the park
Our Melbourne Botanic Gardens are very old and very beautiful, or Heide Modern Art Gallery, with it's mix of heritage, bush and kitchen gardens, is a local favourite
Spot of exercise
There are 2 gyms around the corner, but I prefer gorgeous bush walks or bike rides along the Yarra
Day tripping
The Dandenongs for a day in the cool and lush hills, or the beach - the Great Ocean Road is unbeatable!
