About our home

Our residence is a duel dwelling home (ie two completely seperate homes in one!) consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom downstairs. It is airconditioned throughout and has large decks surrounding the house. A dishwasher, washing machine, computer access with internet and wii games console are all available for use. Our home is surrounded by rainforest, in a very quiet street yet only 5 minutes drive to the best beaches on the coast. Waterfalls, Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, Noosa, the Glasshouse mountains and the Maleny hinterland are all close by. Our house is approximately 1 hour's drive from Brisbane.

Buderim is a beautiful mountainside suburb covered with rainforest, bush reserves and waterfalls. Our neighbourhood is exceptionally quiet and has many native birds and wildlife surrounding it. The sunshine coast is a beach/lifestyle community with many beaches, national parks and outdoor activities. Fishing, watersports, mountain climbing, extreme sports, and boating activities are all plentiful. For the more quieter individual, there is plenty of relaxing activities also including day trips, movies, or pleasant bush walks. The temperatures in winter are mild reaching between 22 and 25 degrees during the day and down to about 10 or 15 degrees at night.

Our family consists of 2 adults and 3 children (age 12,9 and 6). We have house swapped before and can provide very positive references. We both travel a lot (with our children) and have been to most of south east asia, the US, NZ and Europe. Our children are very well behaved and tidy. We are looking at staying in the south island of NZ, hopefully near Queenstown or Christchurch. We plan to spend 2-3 weeks in NZ, and are hoping to go skiing for 1 week during out stay. We would love to stay in a house in the snow.
