About our home

My home is located in Leichhardt, an inner city suburb of Sydney (known as Sydney’s Little Italy). It has three bedrooms - the main bedroom has a queen size bed and my kids room has a bunk and cot. The third room has a convertible sofa bed for one but is very large and could easily accommodate a double mattress if required. The kitchen opens out onto a sunroom which is joined to the backyard.
The backyard includes a small vegie patch, BBQ and outdoor setting for entertaining , a lawn area and seperate laundry with shower and WC.
People from all around Sydney come to Norton Street (just a 3 minute walk from our home) for its cafés and restaurants. It’s a great place for lovers of great books and films too, with Berkelouw and bookshop and the Palace Cinema also found on this street. Supermarkets, fruit shops, pâtisseries and delis are all found within Leichhardt and on Saturday there is an organic food market at the Orange Grove School which is within walking distance (10 minutes). There is a great 7km walking/running/cycling track known as the Iron Cove 'Bay Run' a few streets away from us that follows the entire natural course of the cove, never deviating more than 20 metres from the water. And the city is only 5kms away. So we’re not far from iconic sites like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There are plenty of wonderful day trips to be had as well, so there's no chance of being bored. You can explore Sydney's beautiful beaches, amazing galleries and museums, sail or cruise on the harbour, taste wines at the Hunter Valley, or take in the spectacular sights like the three sisters in the Blue Mountains.
