About our home

Toorak is the most expensive place in Melbourne - and your neighbours are McMansions - this is not! It is a semi detached 1950s home. We use every inch of it and it works well for our little family of mum and two girls. Big master bedroom and big family/playroom with sofa bed. Two kiddie bedrooms and a somewhat ugly, but very clean bathroom (loo and shower are separate from bath). Raised verandah overlooking back garden which while not large is leafy, green and possum filled with springfree trampoline. Two to three minute walk from the train (1 minute if you run) which gets you in the CBD in 10 minutes if you time it right! Tram is also a few minutes away. Resident cat plus the neighbour's cat likes to hang out here. I only have aircon in the aforementioned playroom - it cools the downstairs very well and I won't lie - if you get a spate of 40 + degree days, you will need to decamp there. Generally fans are sufficient in summer as the house is well built and stays cool for a few days- but if it is bonkersly hot, hide downstairs. Its usually only one or two days a year.
