About our home

Our lovely 4 bedroom home is on 2 park-like acres just 5 minutes from stunning Coolum Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. You will feel totally at home sitting on the big back deck listening to the birdlife or feeding the lorikeets and kookaburras who frequently visit. Maybe you would like to take a dip in the pool, or relax with a drink in our rustic downstairs bar and Barbecue.

When you decide to venture out from your private resort, the local area offers attractions such as the famous Australia Zoo, the Yandina Ginger Factory and the Ettamogah Pub at Aussie World. The Sunshine Coast offers many beautiful beaches, from Noosa where you can take a relaxing ferry ride down the river of the rich and famous such as Richard Branson and our last Prim minister and stop off at the lovely restaurants, Boutique shops or Gelato shops to the north with its cosmopolitan boutiques and fine dining, to Caloundra in the south, where kitesurfing and water sports abound.

The local beach at Coolum is delightful and offers safe swimming and surfing conditions. It has a great selection of small restaurants and a couple of bars to chill at, after a day at the beach. Coolum Beach is under 80 miles on the highway from bustling Brisbane city and is serviced by the Sunshine Coast Airport. The area is well known for its natural beauty and abundant wildlife. We frequently see kangaroos on the backroads nearby. There are local weekend markets to visit (Eumundi markets are well known for arts, crafts, music and cultural cuisine) and plenty of other things to see and do.

The photos of the high-set house speak for themselves. Soaring wooden ceilings; polished wooden floors; king bed in the master bedroom and spa bath in the attached en-suite; bunks in two other bedrooms (double-single combos); full length deck out back; outdoor spa bath downstairs and those lovely grounds to stroll. Surrounded on two sides by State forest, you'll hardly know you have neighbours! The fourth bedroom is presently set up as a study, but could fit an extra futon bed if required.

Please note that there are stairs, a pool and an outdoor spa-bath. Children under 6 may need some sensible supervision, but have acres to run around on! Our 11 year boy loves his open space and huge tree swing!

Use of a 5 seat Subaru Liberty sedan can be made available to properly licensed drivers.

Welcome to our little piece of paradise!

Looking to exchange in our beloved San Diego, California so we can visit friend and relatives.
