About our home

This is a city-centre art-deco bourgeois appartment. Built in 1937, is still retains most of its characteristics, with original oak door-frames and brown marble entrance. it is next door the the Hôtel Amigo, the nicest hotel in the city.

Located on the 5th floor (6th in US terms), it boasts a comfortable 130 square-meters (1400 sqft) with a corridor, a living-room, a master bed-room, a library/bed-room, a kitchen with a balcony, a bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet.

The flat is decorated with a mix of traditional old family furniture, 20th century vintage items and ancient African art. There are large double-glazed windows with curtains.

There is one king-size bed and one queen-size bed, while an extra matress is available if needed. There is a larg flat-screen TV with cable television offering a good selection in all major languages. Fast internet is available via wi-fi connection.

TOURISM
This flat is in the very centre of Brussels, 2 minutes from Grand Place, 2 minutes from the Mannken Pis. In fact, it is next door to the most luxurious hotel in the city, The Amigo. Museums, monuments, churches, theatres and cinemas are all within walking distances.

ANTIQUES AND SHOPPING
The Sablon and Marolles areas are 10 minutes walk away. There, you will find art galleries and antique dealers with a choice ranging from Egyptian antiquities to Scandinavian 1960's design furniture.
At a walking distance, you will also find many small creator boutiques who sell original clothing and accessories, as well as the usual international brands.

RESTAURANTS AND NIGHT-LIFE
There are plenty of traditional or more sophisticated restaurants in the neighboorhood. Bars are also in the close vicinity, while not being located directly close to the flat. There is a very large variety of bar in the area : beer-tasting, tarditional, up-market, gay, etc.

DISCOVER EUROPE
The flat is located 10 minutes walk away from the train station. The following trips by train to the centres of these cities make this location an excellent starting point to discover Europe: 1h20min to Paris, 2h00 to London, 2h00 to Amsterdam, 1h00 to Bruges, 30 min to Gand, 1h50min to Cologne, etc....

We both work in the public-affairs sector, as many people do in Brussels. We have studied literature and cinema.

Being French, we put a very high importance on food, and we will be very happy to give you tips on restaurants. We also like to go out, so we'll be able to give you tips on bars also. We're developing quite a decent knowledge on Belgian beers.

We regularly go to exhibitions and love the antique shops, so we'll give you tips on this too.

We are very open-minded about travel destinations, so feel free to come up with any proposals. We love to travel, and do so as often as we can.
