About our home

I built the home in 1997 – it is located on Bowen Island - a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver (which is 15 – 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver ). The house is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from Snug Cove - where the ferry docks. It's 2200 sq. ft. The top floor has the kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and living room, middle floor another bedroom, bathroom and another living room/office, and the basement has the laundry and a recording studio with a queen size bed. The home overlooks the North Shore Mountains and Howe Sound. It is perfect for someone who wants to experience Vancouver, but also wants a more rural retreat. The island (pop 3500) offers wonderful walking and hiking trails, beaches, kayaking, a couple of grocery stores, several restaurants, etc. The house overlooks Artisan Square which has several galleries, a restaurant, gym, and boutiques. Though I have said kids are okay, it's only had adults living here for some time, so it's probably a bit more fussy than one were young kids are currently living - e.g. - white leather sofas etc. There are 3 decks and small yard areas - and two fish ponds. It really is beautiful.
