About our home

Urban townhouse, 3 storey, decorated in modern style has one large master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms with single beds suitable for children. Computer for use. Combined living-dining room. Living room also has double futon sofa. There are 1 1/2 baths, a garden in a fenced back yard, deck & bbq, air condit, all modern appliances, TV, stereo, dishwasher, dvd player. Finished recreation room has a double pull-out bed. Garage for car which is available for exchange-a 1998 automatic 4 door Mazda Protege.

City of Brampton has easy train and bus links to Toronto, Montreal. Within walking distance of parks, grocery shopping, recreational centre. Close to 3 small lakes in parks with activities, a children’s zoo, gardens. Easy drive to shopping centres, restaurants, a theatre and many cinemas.
A perfect location for exploring the exciting and multicultural city of Toronto with its theatre district, world class restaurants, and tourist sites. The city offers many attractions from the CN tower, Sky Dome, Lake Ontario and its islands, large Chinese and Greek districts, markets, museums, art galleries, and fabulous shopping. 90 minutes to the Niagara wine district, Niagara Falls and the U.S.A. There are parks, golf courses, lakes in the immediate region and day trips will cover many of the picturesque villages in southern Ontario, famous for their markets, theatres and boutiques. Three hours to the camping areas in Algonquin and the 1000 islands of the St. Lawrence River. 5 hours to the capital Ottawa and 6 to Montreal. Many bed and breakfast facilities for overnight stays.

We are two non-smoking, almost retired secondary school teachers of French and Spanish and have enjoyed 14 house exchanges in Europe and Turkey since 1991 and recommend it highly. In the spring of 2010 we are looking for an exchange in Italy or France
