About our home

(la version française se trouve ci-dessous)

Our house is lovely, modern construction with lots of space and light. The main floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen (with high-end gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, cappuccino machine, etc) a main-floor bathroom and laundry room, and family room. On the second floor, there is the master bedroom with king-sized bed, walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom, two bedrooms (each with queen beds), a shared bathroom, and an office. There are four bathrooms throughout the house. Downstairs is a rec room, theatre-style TV system, storage and an office with a computer. Attached to the house is a large garage (car and bikes available). The house is equipped with central heating and air conditioning, alarm system, two fireplaces, sound system with radio and CD, several televisions (with cable and DVD), computer, wireless internet, and lots of books and CDs in French and English. An attached garage has room for a car and several bicycles.

The backyard is large and sunny with multiple flowerbeds, trees, patio, raised deck, gazebo, gas barbecue and outdoor seating for six. Even a hot tub!

We live in a lovely, quiet, residential neighbourhood in Gatineau, (Aylmer sector). It is located close to bike paths, links to autoroutes, and a 20-minute walk to downtown shopping. Half a dozen golf courses are within a 10-minute drive, others within a 5-minute walk. Nearby are restaurants, pubs, shops and services. Ottawa, the nation’s capital city, is only about a 15-minute drive away and offers a wide variety of activities, museums and festivals all year long.

We are ideally located to explore the rest of the province of Quebec, eastern Canada and USA. It is only 2 hours to Montreal and Mont-Tremblant, 5 hours to Quebec (to the east) or Toronto (to the west) not far from Niagara Falls. A bit further to New York City!

===================
