About our home

We are offering our spacious 4 bedroom family home situated in one of Montreal’s most desirable areas. All of the original circa 1920 stained woodwork, beveled glass French doors/pocket doors, decorative leaded-glass windows (preserved with addition of new, modern windows) remain intact. The house has 3 floors (2000 sq ft living space on main floor + second floor; almost 1000 sq ft additional space in the finished basement).

On the main floor, a living room with high ceilings, built-in bookshelves, fireplace (non-functioning), and a vintage Steinway upright piano, leads into a spacious, formal dining room with spectacular woodwork. A bright cooks eat-in kitchen is adjacent to the dining room.

A light-filled second floor has a full bathroom, the master bedroom + three good-sized (10 x 12) bedrooms (currently one of the bedrooms is set-up as a home office). Our master bedroom has a high-end queen size latex mattress (Green Sleep); the second bedroom has a twin mattress and frame plus a desk; third bedroom has a children’s loft bed, ample shelving, closet space and desk.

The fully finished basement has a large family room with wall-mounted flat-screen TV, couch, ample book shelves, a separate large office, full bathroom, and storage.

The house is well furnished with amenities, including high-speed internet, front-loading deluxe washer/dryer, dishwasher, heating and air-conditioning units. The house includes a driveway with ample off-street parking, a garage, and a garden/deck. (Experienced housekeeper available on request.)

We are situated on a peaceful, sunny, tree-lined, child friendly street in the Westmount Adjacent/eastern N.D.G. neighborhood of the city, about a 5 minute away from the Villa Marie Metro Station. The house is equidistant (about 5-10 minutes walking) from two prime shopping districts: Monkland Village and Victoria Village, both of which offer a variety of cafes, food markets, French bakeries and butchers, boutiques, and dining options.

We are about a 15-20 minute metro or bus ride away from McGill University and about 10-15 minutes to Concordia’s downtown & Western NDG campuses. We are also close to various primary and secondary schools in N.D.G. and Westmount, large parks, the main bike paths (with trails to Montreal’s Old Port and other downtown locations), the Westmount library, and the soon-to-open MUHC “super-hospital.”
