About our home

Our home is situated in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a historic town at the mouth of the Niagara River, about 25 kilometres down-river from Niagara Falls.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara on the Lake is a popular tourist destination with visitors coming from around the world for the beauty of the town, its historic buildings, & siting on the shore of lake Ontario. From April to October, the town hosts the famous Shaw Theatre Festival.

The surrounding countryside is dotted with award-winning wineries & fruit orchards & is popular for cycling tours & wine tasting.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a 45 minute drive from Buffalo, NY airport & an hour & a quarter from Toronto's Pearson International airport.

The house has 3 bedrooms on the second floor, one with a queen bed, another with a queen bed and pull- out couch, & the master with a king bed and ensuite. The two queens share a bath. On the main floor, there is a dining room, living room, family room, home office, kitchen, powder room and laundry room. The large, light-filled basement has a large open space with a library, studio tables, another bedroom with a queen bed with ensuite & a daybed which pulls out to form a large, comfortable king bed. The house features wifi, Netflix, cable TV, a PS3 & has a 52" HDTV, as well as 3 other TVs.

There is a beautiful, very private garden with perennials, a pool, & a trampoline. There are 6 bicycles, a kayak, a laser dingy & extensive windsurfing equipment. The house is fronted by a small parkette & is a stone's throw from the shore of Lake Ontario. There is lots to explore locally & we are an hour & a half drive from the city of Toronto. Please note: the location showing on the accompanying map is not correct! We are located in Niagara on the Lake a block from Lake Ontario.

We have a friendly cat named Felix, who enjoys company, good food & outdoor adventure. He comes with his own cat sitter when needed. There are no litter duties necessary, and Felix is not allowed in the bedrooms.
