About our home

Our home was built in 2001 and offers everything one needs to have a relaxing and/or energizing holiday. You can choose to sit on the deck and admire the view or explore one of the many nearby walking trails, access a local outdoor tennis court, bike the famous Galloping Goose trail, take a short drive into our gorgeous capital city, Victoria, with its many tourist options, play golf or go for a kayak paddle in the ocean. There are 2 bicycles and kayaks available for use.

The area where we live is called North Saanich which is just 30 kilometers outside of Victoria proper. The whole peninsula is surrounded by kilometres of spectacular ocean shoreline. Our particular residential area (Deep Cove) is friendly and easy to walk around. A local store offers all sorts of delightful necessities/goodies just up the street. It is 9 km to the near town of Sidney (a booktown), 3 km to Victoria International airport, 3 km to the Swartz Bay ferry to Vancouver or the Gulf Islands and 9 km to the Anacortes ferry to the United States. The world famous Butchart Gardens is nearby as is the renowned Chalet Restaurant. You can walk to two of our local wineries and the Chalet Restaurant, take a boat to see killer whales or even catch your own salmon! A Saturday summer market is a 10 minute walk up the street.

Our house has three bedrooms and a pullout couch in the tv room. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and a set of bunk beds (happily enjoyed by visiting grandchildren!). There is a crib in the closet as well. Another bedroom has a double bed and a small child's bed. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms.

The kitchen offers everything one needs to make those special meals. A bbq is on the deck as is a propane heater which can help ward off any evening chills should you choose to eat or sit outside and enjoy evenings sunsets or skylines. The laundry room has both a washer and dryer.

We have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma which could be included.
