About our home

Explore Western Canada! A 1 1/2 hour drive to the cities of Calgary or Edmonton. Another 1 1/2 hour drive from Calgary to the mountains of Banff and Jasper. Hiking and exploring in the wilderness, downhill or crosscrountry skiing in the winter months. Centrally located in of the town of Red Deer, Alberta, a million dollar home backing onto a pond which has beautiful songbirds and geese in the summer, osprey who hunt for goldfish in the evening. In the winter the pond is kept cleared for skating. You can watch the children sliding down the hill onto the frozen pond. Very Norman Rockwell! The walking trails start out our back yard, go along the river and down to Heritage Ranch where you can rent horses or go on a hay ride. The more beautiful trails are groomed in the winter for crosscountry skiing, through the parks and along the Red Deer River. There is also a lovely restaurant at the ranch. There is also a Sports Hall of Fame center within walking distance. Their are 85 kilometers of paved walking trails that wind through the city, parks and along the river. Biking, rollarblading or just walking all day long if you like! Several excellent golf courses are close by.
Red Deer has about 100,000 population. Small enough to be quaint with decent shopping, live theatre and nightlife. Close to Calgary and Edmonton for a days shopping or drive 3 hours to go skiing/hiking at Banff or Jasper. Our home is beautifully decorated and immaculate. 2 King size beds and 1 queen. High end sound system throughout the house and balconies. Four flat screen t.v.'s. Outdoor hot tub and a pool table in the walkout family room.Very peaceful serene location in our lovely little town.
