About our home

We are offering a newly built log cabin on a mountain in the woods 45 minutes north of Montreal. Mountain views all the way to the Montreal skyline. It is a spacious home with 1600 square feet of stone floors. Two bedrooms and two baths. Fireplace in the large living room with wood walls soaring ceiling and walls of glass windows taking in the views. All modern appliances and equipment. The house is surrounded by woods yet only 10 minutes to town. The area has many quaint villages to explore, hiking and biking trails and many lakes. This is our summer home. We live here from Mid May to Mid October. It take a special person to appreciate all it has to offer. The cabin is located 1/2 of a mile down a dirt/gravel road only used and maintained by us and then up a steep gravel drive to the top of the mountain. The road ends at our drive but continues as a trail on into the woods by lakes and up to other mountains for hiking. It is like living in the middle of a national park but only 10-15minutes from shops, restaurants, theaters, galleries and much more.

Ste-Adele is a small resort town in the Laurentian mountains 45 minutes north of Montreal. The area has many small resort towns to explore. There are lots outdoor activities, hiking, biking as well as theater and art galleries. Shopping and wonderful French restaurants are very close as well.

We are a retired American married gay couple together for 22 years. This is our summer home. Our winter home is in Sarasota Florida. We have spent the past four years building Our log cabin. We have done two exchanges in the past to Paris. We would like to see more of Europe or New Zealand/Australia next summer, spring or fall.
