About our home

The home is located in the center of the Bruce Peninsula, which is part of the Niagara Escarpment Unesco Word Biosphere Reserve. We are located about 10 minutes by car from the picturesque town of Wiarton which has all the amenities, such as restaurants, 24 hour super market, hospital, small beach and marina.

The other direction takes you to Owen Sound which is the closest small city, and is about 20 minutes by car. From our cottage you can kayak or canoe on Colpoy's Bay or several lakes within short driving distances.

There is a very reasonably priced golf course less than 4 miles away, a world class course 15 minutes away and another 1/2 dozen courses within 20-40 minutes. There is good fishing in the Bay. Canoe and life jackets are available.

We are a few minutes away from the Bruce Trail, which has some of the most picturesque trails anywhere. Tobermory, is about 45 minutes by car and is home to two National Parks. The Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park. Scuba diving, boating, boat tours, golfing and quaint shops abound.

We are 1/2 hour to Sauble Beach At eleven kilometers long, Sauble Beach is the second longest freshwater beach in the world.

We are Roger and Marilyn. We enjoy traveling when work allows us to get away. We have done four home exchanges and really enjoyed all. As this is our 2nd home, exchange can be at anytime. However you would probably want to come here from June 1st to Sept 30. as the Bruce Peninsula is beautiful at this time of year. We would like to exchange for two weeks. Currently we would like to go to the Calgary, Eastern United States, or Eastern Canada.
