About our home

Our apartment is a very comfortable spacious 4 bedroom home. It is a 175sqm (1800 sqf) duplex attic conversion on the 5th floor of a Prague apartment building. Public transport is only a few minutes walk away. The first tram stop is around the corner from our apartment, about 4 minutes walk. The metro is 7 minutes walk away. There is an elevator and excellent central heating.

There are many beautiful restaurants in the area around our apartment and, of course, via the public transport system all restaurants in Prague are just a tram or metro ride away. There is a local supermarket within 7 minutes walk including very close access to ATMs. Taxis are also plentiful and cheap. Walk around our neighbourhood and you will stumble across Czech pubs and italian style coffe shops. There are parks at either end of our street and many small shops.

Our family is from New Zealand and my wife and I are international school teachers. We have three boys (19, 17 and 10) and two cats. Our two eldests sons are away at University and the youngest attends the school we teach at. We move from country to country as we take different teaching positions. We have lived in Pargue for the past year and in asia before that. Our life revolves around family, teaching, books and traveling. There is a large ex-pat community in Prague and the city caters for every nationality in its choice of restaurants.
