About our home

The ultimate luxury townhouse in the heart of Copenhagen was completely remodeled in 2012 and has since been featured in magazines and interior design publications. The house is furnished with a mix of contemporary furniture from Arne Jakobsen, Eames and Hay CPH and with state of the art appliances.

The townhouse is a fantastic home to our family and a dream come through. Especially in the summertime when the area around the lake (just next to the house) is vibrating with life and the neighbors from the street are gathering around the barbecue to have dinner together, and kids are playing in the street.

Together with our friends at Norm Architects (www.normcph.com/) we completely remodeled the house in 2012. We made few compromises in our vision to build a simple, minimalist yet functional and cozy home.

What’s in the house:
Ground floor: Open spaced kitchen with all appliances and dining area with direct access to our courtyard where we like to hang-out and barbecue with friends and family. The Ground-floor is equipped with a built-in hi-fi system and a 40" flat screen. In the courtyard in front of the house our daughter is playing in the sandbox with her toys. This is also where we enjoy our morning coffee as this side of the house is getting the morning sun.

1st .floor: Master bedroom designed like a luxury boutique hotel room + our daughter’s room and the bathroom with shower etc.

2nd .floor: Open plan lounge and office space with skylights and a lovely view to the lake (Sorte Dam). In the lounge area you can enjoy the 40" Bang & Olufsen flatscreen TV. The 2nd floor could also function as a separate sleeping area using our mobile guest-beds.

Basement: Fully equipped with washing machine but mainly used for storage.

Designed for a couple or small family (1-2 kids) but it's possible to accommodate additional two persons on the second floor living room.
It's possible to borrow our two bikes which will take you everywhere you want to go in Copenhagen (even to the beach). Our car can also be exchanged.

More about us

  1. We are a family of 4 (including our dog, Houdini). We (Kasper and Mette) are are a couple in our mid-thirties. Our daughter Cemille at 3 (and a half) is very happy about her new home and she loves to play with our dog Houdini. He is an 8 year old Cavalier King Charles and spends most of his time cuddling in the couch when Cemille is not chasing him around.
  2. Kasper works as a sales executive in the software industry and Mette works as a project manager in a global IT company.
  3. We share an interest for architecture, interior design and fashion which is also reflected in the way we live and travel.
