About our home

Our house is a charming 2-storey classic villa directly by the sea. It is totally renovated and beautifully decorated with a personal mix of antiques and modern design.

You will enjoy the lovely garden and the romantic pavilion by the sea. The house is closer to the sea than the nearby houses and offers an unhindered view of Øresund all around. Small children will enjoy the wooden swing in the huge old pine tree by the sea!

The garden gate opens towards the beach lane and a five minutes walk will take you to the historical city center of Dragør with shops, restaurants and the yacht harbor. To go for a swim - just turn left from the house and walk a few minutes to the northern swimming pier.

In the house you find the airy bedroom upstairs. It has a balcony and a full view of the old harbor and the sea in three directions. There are two childrens' rooms upstairs as well. One with a bed that can be made into a comfortable full-size double bed and one with a baby bed and an extra matress.

Downstairs in the bright and airy living room, the terrace doors open towards the sea. The house is built in 1920 and is true to the classic danish style with wooden floors and mansion windows. After recent renovations the kitchen is brand new with an inbuilt gas fireplace. One of two new bathrooms has a lovely designer bathtub.

Families with young children will find all kinds of toys and bikes for loan, including a Cargo bike, but we believe that the setting of the house will also appeal to seniors looking for a new cultural location to explore with lots of historic atmosphere. We have a cute cat, a Holy Birma named Gucci, that we prefer to leave in the house.

Our Mini Cooper with seats for children can be part of the exchange. Otherwise to go to central Copenhagen, there is a bus stop very near the house that will take you straight to the Airport Metro stop in 10 minutes and from there you can go to for example Kongens Nytorv with the Royal Theatre, Strøget and Nyhavn in another 20 minutes.

Our house is a 10 minutes taxi or bus ride from Copenhagen airport, CPH, when arriving.

From the house we can see the bridge across Øresund from Denmark to Sweden, and you can be in Malmö and southern Sweden in 30 minutes by car or train.

More photos coming up.

We would love to swap with a house with a pool near the beach. We prefer easy access from a major airport. Danish School vacation is in July and we need to be back around August 10th..
