About our home
Our home is situated in the suburbs of Copenhagen, in one of the richest and nicest municipalities in all of Denmark. The house itself is very modern. It was built in 1933, though every room in the house has been redesigned multiple times since then. It is actually rare that a year passes by without any changes. The house is divided into two parts with two families, and therefore only half of it is for swap. However, there is plenty of room, and you do not necessarily meet the other half's owners on an every day basis. But if you do then it is no problem, since they are a nice elderly couple, whom also share a large interest in the house.
No more than 200m (600 feet) away from the house, you enter nice nature trails around a small lake and with football/soccer fields situated next to it. And if you care to take a longer walk/run, there is an even larger lake less than a mile away. Both of these nature areas also has modern playgrounds.
If your visit is all about exploring the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, then this house is perfectly located. The closest trainstation is 800 meters (half a mile) from the house, and from there it takes between 10-15 minutes until you are at the grand central of Copenhagen. So you get to avoid all the city noise and sometimes chaotic feel when staying in this house, meanwhile it is lose to everything.
