About our home

A sea-seaside house by the sea offering unique opportunity to enjoy the clean and natural environment. The house is built in 2008 only 15 meters from the seaside with 2 floors having 2 bedrooms, big living room/kitchen, very spacious sauna department in modern Finnish style with 4 showers etc. Built in traditional and natural materials but offering modern facilities such as TV, Wifi/WLAN, dish washer, fridge etc.

On the yard there's an old manor house from 1896 decorated with antiques and located by the sea available for family to experience Nordic nature. Very quiet and beautiful location 34 km from the city of Turku, the old capital of Finland, and 170 km from Helsinki, the current capital.

Beautiful landscape in spring-summer-autumn for hiking, canoing (canoes and a rowing boat available for free at the estate), fishing, swimming, golf (12 km) etc, and in the winter time possibilities for cross-country skiing, playing with snow, meeting the genuine Santa Claus, skating on the ice cover of the sea, visiting cultural and historical attractions in the Turku area, to mention just a few.

The location is very quiet with only 1 neighbor right next to our place called Villa Apollo. Most of the houses in the village are traditional farming houses. However, the nearest home bakery is located less than 1 km away, summer restaurant 3 km away and big markets, shops in the center of the town Parainen.

The environment is very untouched nature with great opportunities for hiking, canoing etc. However, there's only 12 km to the closest town center with all the services such as super markets, restaurants etc.

There's a nearest coach stop in 3 km and therefore a private car is a must for easy transportation. A swap car can be negotiated.

We are a family with 2 kids, Henrik 16 y.o. and Maria 14 years. They have a natural respect for others homes and property as our own home is fully decorated with pieces of antiques. The mother is self-employed as entrepreneur and father working as business director.

We speak fluent English and Swedish besides our mother tongue Finnish. We've accomplished 3 home swaps so far: first with lovely ladies from Australia in 2008, with 2 families in France, in Bretagne in 2010 and in downtown Paris in 2012. We always had great holidays in these totally different environments and are eagerly looking for new exciting experiences!
