About our home

Charming 19th century townhouse in quiet residential district close to town centre. Original features throughout - parquet flooring, fireplaces etc. Ground floor : Double reception room with large dining table, fully equipped kitchen, wc plus washing machine and clothes dryer. First floor : Master bedroom, bathroom, one single bedroom with en-suite shower room, 2 further bedrooms. Small (60m2) garden with barbecue and table and chairs for al-fresco dining. Garage.
This is a family home, with comfortable rather than designer furniture, and the knocks and scratchs of young family life. But it has real charm and makes an ideal base from which to discover Bordeaux and SouthWest France.

5 minutes walk from the beautiful "Jardin Public", and just 15 minutes walk from the shopping and restaurant heart of Bordeaux, the neighbourhood is central yet quiet. Generally regarded as the smartest residential district in central Bordeaux, with fine 19th century stone architecture and 3 parks within walking distance. Public transport and neighbourhood shops close by.

I am English, my wife is French. We live in Bordeaux with our 3 children...one son aged 11, and two daughters aged 9 and 7 (nearly !)
