About our home

This outstanding stone longere has been renovated to an impressive standard for modern living, set in a rural location but within easy reach of the local villages and historical major towns. The property boasts a fully equipped kitchen-diner with seating for 10, a spacious lounge with ample seating, TV with access to 99 freeview channels, DVD, video and wood burning fire for those Winter nights.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 are spacious double en-suite bedrooms. Both have en-suite bathrooms with shower, toilet, sink with storage and hanging space. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have twin beds. The main bathroom has a full size bath with shower attachment above, storage and hanging space. All bedrooms boast large velux windows and both double en-suite bedrooms have full height opening doors with safety rails. All bedrooms have ample hanging and storage space with lots of natural light from the large velux windows.
The property is great for a winter break with both floors having underfloor heating.

The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, 2 x fridge freezers, washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board.

The spacious lounge is equipped with TV, video, 99 freeview channels, DVD wood burning fire, seating for 10, two double sofa beds.

The dining room has an original Bretton table and benches with extra seats to the head of the table. There is also a French dresser with portable stereo with CD, tapes and games. The property also has a ground floor toilet with sink.

There is ample parking to the front of the property as well as a restored well on the front patio. The rear south-facing landscaped garden has a hedged boundary and is supplied with garden furniture and BBQ for those long Summer evenings. The property is ideal for those who enjoy the true French peaceful life with home from home creature comforts, with lots of natural light.

The property has the marvellous benefits of under floor heating to both floors, The property is very suitable for children of all ages as we provide two travel cots, baby changing mat, child toilet seat attachment, booster seat, high chair and a fixed stair gate.

The property is accessible for people with walking difficulties as it has the benefits of a ground floor toilet and the sofa beds in the lounge. The ground floor lay-out is on one level and there is only one step to the front and rear of the property.

The south facing garden has a hedged boundary with patio area, tables, parasol and seating for 10. The garden is flat and beautifully landscaped to be safe for children to play in.

Underfloor heating is an extra cost on Winter holidays. Jugon-les-Lac is a small village which is within a 9km drive from the property and has a 7 mile long lake with amazing views, recreation centre and many water sports consisting of sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and also a heated outdoor swimming pool. With a short drive you can also reach the medieval town of Dinan which has a festival every two years in July which must be visited. St Malo is also in easy driving distance with its stunning walled city and many beautiful and child friendly beaches. For those who would like a real treat then adventure to Paris in just over 2 hours by train from Lamballe. The local village Plenee Jugon has a supermarket with a petrol station, chemist, bank and a small number restaurants and local bars.

Plenee Jugon is a 10 min drive. Dinan, a medieval city dating back to the 14th century, is , 30 min drive. St Malo, a historical walled city, is 57km. Dinard is 46km.

Coast / Beaches are: St Lunar 53.5km. St Malo 57km. Le Mont-ST-Michel 1 hour drive. Cancale 45 min drive. Dinard 45 min drive. Saint Lunaire 45 min drive. Saint Unaire 53.5km. Saint-Briac-sur-Mer 40 min drive. St-Jacut-de-la-Mer 40 min drive. St Cast-le-Guildo40 min drive. Cape Frehel 40 min drive. Binic 30 min drive. All beaches are very child friendly and clean with most having toilets, bars and restaurants with all local cuisine.

Golf: Dinard-18 holes 5276m par 68. 2nd oldest course in France founded in 1887. Picturesque holes winding along the cliffs and coves. Not long but plenty tough enough. Pleneuf-Val Andre-18 holes 6052 par 72. The jewel in Brittany's crown. Without a doubt should be on every one's 'must play' list. Superb layout on the cliff top and diving down to the beach at the signature eleventh with its breathtaking views. Saint Samon-18 holes 5807m par 71. Somewhat isolated out on the North Western extremity of the Cote d'Armour. This is a densely wooded course alongside the pink granite coves. Rich in legend, 4000yr old Celtic dolmens dot the course. Chateau Des Ormes-18 holes 6013m par 72. Encircling the Chateau des Ormes, this is a peaceful woodland layout parkland. The occasional water hazard is present to spice up the regal tree lined fairways. St Malo (Le Tronchet):-18 holes + 9 6049m par 72. Seemingly fairly open fairways at first but these soon narrow and stretch away into the murky depths.

Airport Dinard, 46km. Railway Station Lamballe, 20km. Ferry St Malo, 57km. We do recommend hiring a car or taking your own.
