Traditional chalet with balcony and old beams with stunning views of the mountains. 4 double bedrooms plus a single fold-up bed. Most of the refurbishment done in the last 3-4 years so it's in very good condition.

See www.grand-massif.com for full details on the alpine ski area - it's big, 265km sq including Flaine/Samoens/Les Carroz and some great off-piste and an amazing view of Mont Blanc (Chamonix is a 40 minute drive although much closer as the crow flies). Morillon village is a 5-10 minute walk and the ski bus stops about 50m away. There are also great cross country and snowshoe tracks in the area.

In summer the area is arguably even more beautiful, a ten minute drive from the Fer-a-Cheval (a horseshoe valley, a bit like a smaller Yosemite with numerous waterfalls cascading into the valley). There are lots of mountain biking routes (some of the ski lifts stay open in summer), several lakes in the area for swimming (Morillon lake 5-10 minutes away has a little beach and a volleyball area too), an Indiana park (zip wires and stuff - great for kids and not to be scorned by adults as there are black routes), a via ferrata (sort of beginners climbing), white water rafting and cannyoning and paragliding as well as some of the most beautiful hikes in France.
