About our home

Hello, I’m Fanny.
I'm a French born actress who moved around every two years as a kid (SouthAmerica, Europe, Middle East), until my family finally settled in the US where I lived 20 years. Ten years ago I came to Paris, fell in love with & married a handsome and charming Frenchie businessman.
Since then, this beautiful city has been my home.

My husband is an avid surfer and kite-surfer.
I like antiquing, flea markets, treasure hunting.
We both love to travel the world.

We have a lovely 120 square meter apartment (1300 sq feet) on the 5th floor in a beautiful 19th century Haussmanian building in VERY central Paris. Glass elevator, high ceilings, original hardwood floors, mouldings, large bay windows and a 12 meter (almost 40 foot) balcony on which you can watch the sun set over Paris’ rooftops ... our home is UNIQUE.
You'll love it!

We have a very large living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 office;
Cable TV, Wifi connection, air conditioning unit, and a fridge with an automatic ice-cube maker (ice cubes in Paris are rare! If you’ve been here, you know!).

We’ve decorated it ourselves with a mix of items, some brought back from our many travels, some family heirlooms.
It’s modern, cozy, comfortable, bright and airy.

ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ...
We're located in the first district in Paris, in the pedestrian area of Les Halles.
Our address is 3 rue de la Cossonnerie, 75001 Paris … so you can localize it on a map.
We've lived in this area for the past 10 years and we wouldn't trade it for ANY other Parisian neighborhood. There are tons of restaurants, cafes, bars, jazz clubs; there is an underground shopping center (Les Halles), and a 24 screen movie theater; several supermarkets and a kids' park are just a few blocks away; We are a 5 minute walk away from the river Seine, the Louvre, the Marais, Saint Michel & Saint Eustache Cathedrals, and because we're so central you can bike (with the Velib') to anywhere in Paris in less than 15 minutes (Eiffel Tower, for example).
Practically every form of transportation is less than 1 minute walk (subway, buses, velib'...).
The neighborhood is very safe, and because it is pedestrian it is very kid friendly.
We love it here!

ABOUT US
We're a coupe in our 40's with 2 well behaved children.
We're tidy and respectful of our environment (as are our kids) and expect the people we swap with to be the same.
We do not smoke, and we don’t want you to smoke inside our apartment either … the balcony is ok though.

We don't have any pets, and prefer not to have any visit us, but we're open to discussion on the subject if your pet is well trained.

We’re open to all destinations, and even if your home is not as big as ours, it's ok, we just want to travel!
Kids get a lot of vacation here; these are the dates we're most keen on traveling:
Summer Vacation 2011: Jul 1 - Sep 5 2011
Toussaint (All Saint's) Break: Oct 22 - Nov 6 2011
Christmas Break: Dec 17 - Jan 3 2012
Winter Break: Feb 18 - Mar 4 2012
Spring Break: Apr 14 - Apr 29 2012
Summer Vacation 2012 Jul 5 - Sep 3 2012

We also like to take four day weekends, so if your home is less than a 3-4 hour plane ride from Paris, we're game!
