About our home
Our private, triplex loft used to be a cabaret in the early 20th century. Unique for Paris with a 550 sq. ft. entryway and a modern designer aesthetic, including the enormous, stainless steel open kitchen with brand-new Smeg induction stove, glass and chrome staircase, and giant skylight in the living area. It was featured last year in Marie Claire France magazine.
- Top-floor master bedroom has king-size bed with a master bath that has two sinks, standalone tub and shower stall
- Guest bedroom has queen-size bed
- Baby's room has Leander crib and can accommodate an air mattress. It has its own bathroom.
- Toddler room has Flexa safari loft bed (for up to 6 years old) and a pull-out couch
- Downstairs bathroom is the biggest with a Jacuzzi tub and glass shower; Bosch washer and dryer
- 550 sq. ft. entrance hall is also a home cinema with a top-of-the-line projector and comfy, oversized Fatboys to lounge on
- 300 sq. ft. office has two desktop computers, printer/scanner, etc...
- 2 bikes (one with baby seat) available
- Mini Cooper S optional for reciprocated auto swap
Our neighborhood is called So-Pi (South of Pigalle) and includes historic spots like the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre (Sacré Coeur) which are just a few minutes walk away. (The café from the movie Amélie is up the street from our house.) It's also one of the hippest/chicest (or "bobo") arrondissements in Paris, with St. Georges, Rue des Martyrs, the Hotel Amour and the organic Saturday market at Batignolles—again, a few minutes walk from our home.
The giant department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are about a 10-15 minute walk from here. That street is also filled with every other imaginable retail shop! It's about a 10-minute cab/bike ride from the center of Paris, should you want to visit the classic tourist spots like the Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou, etc.

3 Things about us
- 1
- We are a couple with a toddler girl and a (soon-to-be) newborn boy
- 2
- He is a French journalist with a show on Nat Geo; I am a Korean-American rock musician and writer
- 3
- We are world travelers who are settling down a bit because of our growing family (never thought *that* would happen!) With our new baby-to-be, we're looking for summer exchanges that are closer to home and ideally someplace warm, sunny and near water, be it beach or pool. (But no worries, we'll be itching to do some travels further away once we get past these first few months!)
