About our home

The villa is 5mins from the Medieval Cite of Sauveterre de Béarn, which has all your local amenities and a lovely little tea house located on the banks of the river with spectacular views to the Pyrénées.

We are also 5 min. away from the Pay Basque region of France with their unique culture, architecture and food. Enjoy lunch in the Basque town of St-Jean-Pied-de-Port which is renowned for its mountain pork and fresh water trout or get lost in the many chocolate shops of Bayonne!!

The clear mountain waters of the Gave d'Oloron are famous for hosting the annual world fishing championships runs through Sauveterre and meanders through our village (5mins walk). Many of our guests enjoy walking down to the river from the Villa and spending the afternoon fishing or paddling in the crystal clear Pyrenees waters.

The town of Orthez has a lovely lake with a large sandy beach. There is a lifeguard on site with water sports available which makes it very popular day trip for families.
