About our home

Our beautiful holiday villa named after my daughter Loukia was built for us by my brother in 2005 after falling in love with this magical island on a visit in 2003. He was living in USA on his yacht at the time and after visiting Kefalonia built his own house as well and is still living there when not sailing. Villa Loukia sleeps 10 and provides a wonderful venue for special occasions and we have had many weddings take place from the villa. It was featured in the tv show ' A NICE DAY FOR A GREEK WEDDING ' last year and is listed as one of the most comfortable and beautiful homes on the island. Villa Loukia with it's glorious mountain and sea views is situated south on the island in the village of Karavados and is within walking distance of a lovely little sandy alcove beach St. Thomas. There are local restaurants and a well stocked village shop with wi fi. all within walking distance. We do suggest car hire as there are many beautiful beaches and places to visit and explore . The main town Argostoli has many fabulous restaurants, coffee bars, bistros and extensive shopping including fruit and vegetable markets on the sea front. The airport is only 15 mins. drive from the villa and flights take 3 hours direct from UK. The island is also renowned for it's sailing and sealife.
