About our home
We bought our beautiful farmhouse in the summer of 2008 and renovated the property including adding a swimming pool and completely remodeling the gardens. The house sits in 6 hectares of land including the landscaped area with pool and a large wooded area beyond. There is a path that runs around the boundary of the property which is perfect for family walks and kids adventures into the forest.
Our views are spectacular. There are vineyards in the surrounding fields and on a clear day we have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps which are near enough for a weekend of fabulous skiing in the winter and great mountain adventures in the summer. We regularly to daytrips to our favourite beaches of the Ligurian coast and, as if Italy didn't have enough to offer, we occasionally indulge ourselves with a lovely coastal drive into southern France.
Piemonte is very proud of its world famous wine and food and our house, on the border between the Langhe and the Monferrato regions, is perfectly placed to enjoy some of the best wine and food that Italy has to offer: it's world famous Barolo's (red wine), the internationally renowned nocciole (hazlenuts) from which Nutella and Ferrero Rocher are made, and the much coveted extraordinary delights of the tartufo bianco (white truffle) to name but a few.
But above all the house is a lovely family home with all the warmth that this entails, reconstructed with love and attention to detail and a delightful, comfortable, relaxing place to spend quality time with loved ones and to enjoy nature at its best.
